Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy addresses pain, weakness, and dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor refers to the muscles that support the reproductive and urinary tract, including your bladder, uterus, vagina, and rectum. These muscles attach to your pelvis to your spine and are responsible for your sexual, bladder, and bladder function.
Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses treatment on pelvic floor dysfunction and the symptoms so often associated with it. Some conditions that improved with pelvic floor physical therapy are:
• Urinary incontinence
• Urinary frequency/urgency
• Difficulty stopping or starting urinating
• Difficulty fully emptying bladder
• Pelvic pain
• Pain during intercourse
• Diastasis Recti
• Painful Bladder Syndrome
Meet Dr. Kaitlyn Mital
Dr. Mital, PT, DPT, LSVT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Spine & Health Center of NJ in their Oradell location. Dr. Kaitlyn has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with certified training in Pelvic Floor treatments through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is adaptive and inclusive trainer (AIT) certified as well, making her qualified to conduct fitness and physical therapy services for people with disabilities and maintain an inclusive setting.
