With over 13 years of experience, Dr. James Gamrat, has worked at many other facilities prior joining the Spine and Health Center of New Jersey. He has had extensive experience with working in state of the an aquatic physical therapy clinic in Pennsylvania with an adjustable floor and  has worked with therapists trained in the McKenzie Method. Since 2021, Dr. James Gamrat, PT, DPT received additional training through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School and received credentialing to issue physiotherapeutic scoliosis specific exercises to help patients who have been diagnosed with scoliosis.

James’s specialties are developing individualized treatments for his patient specific needs. He has been seeing patients of all ages and has been treating patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and adult degenerative scoliosis developing 3D postural correction exercises based on their curve pattern and developing effective home exercise protocols for patient’s to take their scoliosis specific exercises and adapt it into their daily life. In addition to this, he has experience in treating running athletes as he draws from his years of experience as a collegiate Division 3 Cross Country runner and his experience as a college coach for the Cross Country Team at the University of Scranton. Through his experience he has treated various orthopedic throwing related injuries at the shoulder and elbow, post-operative rehabilitation for shoulder rotator cuff repair, ACL repair and rehab from arthroscopic surgery at knees, hips, and ankles.
 
In my spare time, James enjoys learning new card & board games, traveling, running, hiking, attending live sporting events (Mets and Broncos), and spending time with his wife, dog, and three children.

Dr. James Gamrat is a Physical Therapist at the Spine & Health Center of New Jersey at Montvale. James grew up on Long Island and studied at the University of Scranton and graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and a Concentration in Nutrition in 2009 and continued with his studies at the University to complete his Doctorate of Physical therapy in 2012.
